Middle Generation Dance Ensemble “Imantieši”

The middle‑generation dance ensemble “Imantieši” was founded in 2002 from the alumni dance ensemble “Imanta” of Riga Secondary School No. 69, and since 2014 has operated under the name “Imantieši”. The ensemble is led by the energetic and charismatic Linda Janfelde, whose enthusiasm inspires the dancers and fosters their creative growth. “Imantieši” is a collective full of drive, joy, and close friendship, creating daily sparks of happiness. The ensemble regularly participates in concerts, festivals, and the Latvian Song and Dance Festival, earning high evaluations, and actively engages in various projects and seasonal celebrations in Latvia. Since 2018, “Imantieši” has collaborated with the Lithuanian dance ensemble “Šoktinis”, participating in joint events and celebrations. The ensemble’s traditions continue into the next generation — some dancers have been part of the group since its founding, and their children now dance in the ensemble as well. “Imantieši” continues to preserve and pass on Latvian folk dance traditions, discovering new opportunities and projects for the future.
