Early Music Group “Freska” and Senior Vocal Group “Krētas Freska”
The early music group “Freska” was founded in 2003, and its current leader is Zaiga Lazdiņa‑Radziņa. Its core members also play various instruments characteristic of early music — the lute, flutes, and percussion instruments. The ensemble mainly performs music from the 15th–17th centuries, and its repertoire includes works by English, German, Austrian, Italian, French, Spanish, and other composers.
The senior vocal group “Krētas Freska” has been active since 2012. Its leader is Zaiga Lazdiņa‑Radziņa. The group currently includes lively ladies aged 66 to 91. Over these resonant thirteen years, more than 100 different songs have been learned and performed in concerts.
