Mixed Choir “Muklājs”

The main artistic director of the mixed choir “Muklājs” is Jānis Kokins, working together with choir conductor Ralfs Šmīdbergs — a choir artist of the State Academic Choir “Latvija” — as well as choirmaster and conductor Andris Gailis. The mixed choir “Muklājs” has delighted listeners for 35 years, including in its repertoire works ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century, contemporary music opuses, jazz scores, and folk music. The choir has also premiered several newly composed works by Latvian composers.
